T. Dallas Smith
PRESIDENT | CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
T. Dallas Smith oversees all brokerage activity and personally works with select clients. He has over 28 years of commercial real estate experience structuring and closing real estate transactions. He has negotiated:
- Over 1 million square feet of commercial property
- Over 5,000 acres of land acquisitions
- Over 125 leases totaling more than $200 million dollars in value
Disappointed with the number of minorities and women in the field of commercial real estate, Dallas started T. Dallas Smith & Company as a way to do his part to help increase that number, while at the same time delivering a level of uncompromised service to high net worth individuals and local and national companies.
Dallas was the first African American to work with Cushman & Wakefield of Georgia in 1989 serving local and national companies such as Jostens Learning Corporation, the Georgia Lottery Corporation and the Arthritis Foundation with their office leasing needs. He also pioneered the brokerage division for H.J. Russell & Company in 1995 and worked directly with Herman and Jerome Russell. Helping such companies as BellSouth, General Motors, Wal-Mart, Target and Lowe’s Theaters. Dallas is currently licensed in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama.
A 1986 graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Mr. Smith is now an active member of the Georgia State University Foundation Board where he serves on the Real Estate Committee. He has served on the Diversity Committees of Corenet, International Development Research Council (IDRC) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
He is a founding member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, creator of Commercial Real Estate 101, by T. Dallas Smith and frequent guest lecturer of the Empire Real Estate Board. Mr. Smith has been certified as a specialist in Cost and Price Analysis of Leasing Proposals, Federal Real Property Lease Law and Real Property Leasing by the Federal Government. Mr. Smith was hand picked as one of Atlanta's seasoned and most well respected brokers by the Atlanta Business Chronicle to Blog for its Commercial Real Estate Blog “Real Talk” that launched in 2010.
